Mandee In-Store

Hello everyone! I haven't blogged in quiet sometime, yes I no. I have been extremely busy promoting and performing since my album iLLMissBehavin has dropped in Aug. I just wanted to write a little bit about my experience with this past weekend here in my home town @ my in-store with Mandee clothing store.

Well the weather was really crappy all weekend since we had been hit with two Nor- Easterns, but that didn't stop the performance @ Mandee from happening, or for the people and kids to come out and see me!

I had an AWESOME time performing for everyone that came out and supported me! I love inspiring everyone around me or touching them in some sort of way with my energy and lyrics. The kids are always great! Taking pictures signing autographs. The whole Mandee crew was awesome as well. Very helpful and supportive.

Its crazy walking into a store and seeing your picture and posters everywhere and knowing that in couple of hours there will be a whole bunch of ppl there just to see you. It's very surreal, enlightening and powerful. It's like "wow these ppl are here to either see what I'm about or bc they know me already and like me and came out to support me being and indie artist."

I just feel really blessed that I was given the opportunity from Mandee to perform in there store, especially being and indie artist like I am. I am also very blessed from the amount of people that came out in the nasty weather to support me! I just feel blessed in many many ways from this weekend and all the things I have acquired and obtained with it!

Well it wont be as long next time I blog again. I posting pictures from the show asap, technical difficulties have been holding that up. There will also be a youtube video up within the next week. It was a long day so there is a lot of footage to look through and edit!

Hello everyone! What's going on? Okay so my team and myself have been moving forward and alot of things have been happening. Another area in which we have been working on is the tour I'm preparing for with Trans World/ FYE. I'll be preforming the last two Sunday's in Aug. and also the first Sunday in Sept. if all goes well ill be adding more dates. We are still working out the details and which mall's I'm doing on which day. We picked the three mall's, which are the Monmouth Mall, Cherry Hill Mall, and also the Hamilton Mall, they are all located in NJ. Currently my radio promoter is working on getting me airplay for my single "Hey Gurl" in these area's and also advertising for the Mall performances so listen in to 99.3 kiss FM 106.5 FM and also Wired 96.5 FM. and if you hear my song CALLL!!! Hello again! So its been a crazy past couple weeks. June 12th I was in AC for the red carpet opening for Smokin' Joe Fraizers sportzbox, which was awesome I met alot of cool celebs that were all really nice and down to earth. I've been meaning to post the pictures but umm my laptop has like zero memory in it and ive been trying to dump files on an external hard drive but for whatever reason when i dump the files and delete them off my laptop it then deletes them in the hard drive as well.. So I've just been a little crazy with technology these past couple weeks. So the pics will be up so.. Any who.. Ive just been practicing and promoting like crazy, my debut album iLLMissBehavin finally drops Aug. 18th 2009.. I believe sometime next month we're going to be taking pre orders for the album!! Exciting! :) Over the weekend I did a show in Manhattan for Sickle cell. It was a really great show, I loved being there supporting such a great festival, interacting with ppl and hearing there stories. I have pictures from that show as well that ill be posting.. So Ive been a little crazy today.. I got up went to the gym for 2 hrs!
woo ya no gotta get my body right for the summer and all the exciting
things about to start happening.. Then I came home took my dog to the
vet, thats always fun... ;) Came home made some phone calls I had to
make. And in a little bit I have to go Get my speaker form down south
so I can practice for my show comin up! Its on June 19th for the World
sickle Cell Festival for the united nations. Plus I just did errands
that needed to be done so its been a long day and its far from being
over. :)
Just this past week I got my albums in!!! I am very pleased with them,
and so excited! Its just crazy all the hard work and dedication that
you put into something and how it pays off! Another thing wer're doing
this week is wrapping the RV for my tri-state area tour thats underway
this summer. Also I know that we're working to get me on a Red Carpet
event in AC this weekend, cross ya fingers! You never know though with
this business things change in the blink of an eye but it would deff.
be awesome and great exposure for me. :) Well just thought Id write a
little about whats been going on.. I have to go and pick up my speaker

YOO blogger world! Vat is up? Okay so I went to Vegas on Monday for 2 days
to get a feel for it and let me tell you, it was AWESOME! I love the weather
out there especially because I had real bad allergies leaving New York, so
when I got there I pretty much cleared up. I stayed at the Harrah's everyone
was really nice. I gambled ya no... Won some money... thennnn lost money lol
but shit happens. It was a great experience. I went up in the replica of the
Eiffel tower and over looked the whole strip. Then at night went to the
Bellagio and watched the magnificent fountain show that they had. It was
absolutely breath taking. I got a guitar full of Pina colada haha ahh that
was great! It was alot of fun, bar hopping, dancing the night away.. it was
just great to get away. It felt good. Now I am home. and We are working on
my website to fix changes that need to be made, and getting together some
more information about next months events. Oh and the plane ride home was
awesome I think that every plane should get the monitors in the back of the
head rest with all the options of games HBO and Movies, because let me tell
you.. That made my plane ride feel like 30 mins. It was great, oh and on the
plane ride there Fat Joe was on the plane. That was cool. Well so long for
now back to work! yay lol ahha

THIS SUMMER IS IT! I DROP MY ALBUM IN AUGUST AND I START MY RADIO PROMOTION FOR MY SOON TO BE HIT SINGLE HEY GURL! THIS PAST WEEK I MEET WITH MY PUBLICIST AND WE DISCUSSED STARTING MY CAMPAIGN JUNE 1ST! ALSO I HAVE BEEN TALKING TO MY RADIO PROMOTER! GEEZE SO MUCH TO THINK ABOUT BUT THAT'S WHAT ITS ALL ABOUT, LINING UP THE DOMINO'S. FINISHING AN ALBUM IS ONE THING, PROMOTING IS IS ANOTHER. ALSO I ALREADY HAVE A BIG SHOW SCHEDULED THIS SUMMER AT CLUB DUVET IN NYC FOR A RED CARPET AIDS EVENT! I CANT WAIT. ALSO MY TOUR BUS IS UP AND RUNNING! WE BROUGHT IT TO PHILLY LAST SATURDAY FOR A SHOW A DREXEL U AND NOW IT WILL BE HITTING THE ROAD WHEN I BEGIN TOURING THE TRI-STATE AREA, NEW JERSEY, NEW YORK AND PA. ALSO I WILL PROBABLY BE MAKING A FEW STOPS IN DELAWARE, CT AND MARYLAND. SO THIS SUMMER SHOULD BE A HOT ONE AND A CRAZY ONE. Hello blogger world. So today I went to my meeting for my publicity
campaign, and I must say everything is looking quiet promising.. I'm
really excited about it. We talked to a couple of the publicists and gave
them more of a story to sell and pitch to magazines, talk shows ect. So
all in all the meeting went well. We should be starting up the publicity
in the beginning of June. I'm also extremely excited about two benefit
shows that are comin up that I am performing for, the first show which is
on June 19th its an awareness for Sickle Cell , and the second show is for
A.I.D.S. awareness on June 27th. Im glad that I can be part of both things
b/c theres so many people that die every year from both diseases, so to
help promote other people to be aware and take action for the better I
think is great and inspiring to those living with either one of these
diseases. It just gives people a little more hope. Well I just wanted to
stop by and let everyone know what I've been up to. I'll be back

One.25 Music Fest

A Benefit Concert for the John Williamson & Ian Alexander Scholarship Fund

It was a sad loss when two brothers from Drexel University’s Alpha Chi Rho fraternity (AXP), John Williamson and Ian Alexander, died in a car accident that also injured four others on January 25, 2009. The One.25 Music Fest on May 2, 2009 will celebrate the lives of these dynamic students by bringing the community together through music while creating a foundation in their names as a living legacy. Twelve bands will play the all-ages benefit concert at 6:00 pm at the DAC, Drexel’s Daskalakis Athletic Center, 33rd & Market (moved from the Armory). Tickets are $8 in Advance, $10 at the door. As tragedies often have a way of bringing people closer together, the AXP fraternity and the Greek and Drexel community at large have become stronger working through their shared grief with memorial services for the students. Members of the rock band Grindcity were deeply moved watching the news coverage of the candle-light vigil for John and Ian, and they contacted the university and fraternity and offered to do a benefit show in memory of the AXP brothers. Since their request, the benefit concert has snowballed even bigger than anyone imagined: seven local bands and five hip hop acts will perform to raise money for an endowment, which will be a used for the John Williamson & Ian Alexander Scholarship Fund. All high school and college students in the area, as well as Philadelphia rock and hip hop music fans of all ages, are invited to attend what is sure to be a great show with the best talent Philly has to offer.

"...These guys are really in their first year of college? Damn. They can easily school half of the rap groups out there today. I tried to pick a couple of songs from the 5 that I have, but I couldn’t, so I’ll just share all 5. I suggest to start off with “Sooner or Later,” it’s the best way to ready yourself for the trip you’re about to take. “Sooner or Later” is an exemplary range of sounds that make it sound as modern as it does timeless. “Ice Cream Man” follows suit, but picks it up a notch by taking a couple of tips from the Gospel of Kanye by sampling the Tom Waits classic by the same name. “On Our Way” sounds exactly how I wish Weezy’s rock album would sound. “Fresh Like Us” starts off with a grinding electro beat that reminds me a bit of Gifted’s “Come With Me” and is filled with Cool Kids-like swagger and likability. I’ve saved the best for last, naturally. If you were to check out just one of Chiddy Bang’s tracks, it better be “Because.” This song is probably the most prolific hip-hop record I’ve heard in 2009. Soooo today me and my assistant where talking about the deaths of Aaliyah, Left Eye, Biggie and Tupac and how their deaths where so close together and how major influences they where on the music industry and how they where all so young. Aaliyah was only 22, Biggie 24, Tupac 25 and Left Eye 30. It shows no matter how powerful you are life could be over tomorrow so enjoy your life, or as T.I. says Live Ya Life. Queens SPRING FIELD GARDENS High School

Let me just start off my saying, I had such a good time today! I thought it was going be a disaster because we didn't have everything on the music end set up as far as performing and mic checks go. So I was kind of nervous because the students started coming into the auditorium and we weren't ready and I didnt have a mic check, so i was all sorts of dazed and confused with butterflies in my stomach. But, oh but Larry Love kept everyone entertained and settled everyone in while Dave and I ( Daves my assistant) handed out some flyers so I Got to meet some of the students and feed off there energy, which was totally awesome and made that nervous feelings go away. So after all that was said and done and I started performing I got just a roar of a cheer after and even in the beginning of my first song, which was just so thrilling and inspiring, I was literally aud. I think I was just as intreiged with the students as they were with me. My whole show went smooth after I started performing. I was also really happy about the fact that I got to sign autographs for some of the students afterwards, which i deffenetly thought was pretty dope considering that they went on there spring break today after there last period was over.. So that means they pretty much stayed a little bit longer to take some pics with me and get some stuff signed which i really appriciated. I thought overall it was just a great mutual feeling between myself and my audience today. i hope i inspired them today just as much as they inspired me! I hope all of the students who watched me perform today enjoyed it! thank you spring field high school for havin me! :) Candi Lynn

Okay well, its not very exciting so far my day.. I went to work last night got home round 4am.. and umm woke up at 1130 or so.. Then started working on some situations that involve my music.. We are currently working on getting my RV wrapped for the tour I'll be taking in the summer time around the Tri-State area.. yeahhh then I had to call the vet for my dogg.... yeah i told u it wasnt very exciting.. Now my assistant and I are on youtube listening to ARNOLD! "you want to fuck with me?" "ahh you must be very proud of yourself" "who is your daddy and what does he do?" lol sry about that i got a little carried away.. hahaha ahh that shit is funny... I'm just rambling now.. ughhh yeahhh.. so I cant wait to go to NY this friday.. so this is my first post on blogger.com so i guess its time for an intro :) my name is Candi Lynn! I’ve been performing and creating my music for about 6 or 7 years now. My Mother/manager and I have been developing my sound for these past couple years. NOW more than EVER I am ready to take the world by storm! My debut album iLLMissBehavin is set to drop in Summer 2009. I’ve recently just added two new songs that weren’t originally on the album, so there’s a little extra treat for all the lovely people that have been following me! ? Another person who has helped develop me along the way is my producer/engineer Chris Conway! The cool thing about the music that Chris and I make is that we make the music according to US! NOT what everyone thinks will sound good and sell records ?.. That’s also why I’m iLLMissBehavin BITCH!!! We make the rules we don’t play by them lol.. Another thing that my Mom/Mananger and I have done within the past 2 years is create our own record label! The name of my label is iLLMissMusick! We are currently having my attorney shop my music to the majors in hopes of getting a distribution and promotion deal, but before that process we are setting up the domino’s..
